Hi! I’m Bethan, an Orkney wedding photographer capturing relaxed, natural weddings across the Islands. My approach blends candid storytelling with gently guided portraits, giving you photographs of the moments you remember alongside all the little things happening around you.
I believe that wedding photography is about more than just the pictures. Your wedding gallery should transport you back to the nerves and anticipation before the ceremony, the laughter between portraits, the people who filled the room and the moments you barely noticed at the time.
I pay just as much attention to what is happening at the edges of the day as I do to the moments at the centre of it. I love filling your gallery with little moments you might have missed: the expressions exchanged across a room, children getting up to mischief, grandparents watching from the sidelines and the reactions of the people you love.
When we do step away for portraits, I want that time to feel like a chance to enjoy being together rather than another item on the schedule. I’ll give you enough guidance that you never have to wonder what to do with yourselves, without turning your photographs into a performance. The same goes for family photographs: we’ll make sure the important combinations are covered efficiently, then get you back to your guests.
I want you to have photographs of the wedding you remember, alongside parts of it you never got to see. The carefully planned details matter, but so do the untidy, funny and completely unexpected moments that make the day yours.

Planning a wedding comes with a lot of decisions. I have kept my collections simple, so all you need to choose is how much of your day you would like documented. For all bookings, you'll receive a carefully curated online gallery filled with individually edited images, available to download and share with family and friends. All online galleries include a storefront where you can purchase prints, canvases and gifts. They also include a personal print release so you can choose to print at a supplier of your choice.

How would you describe your wedding photography style?
My approach is relaxed and natural, blending candid storytelling with gently guided portraits. For most of your wedding day, I’ll capture things as they happen: the reactions, little details and moments you might otherwise miss. When it’s time for portraits, I’ll give you enough direction that you feel comfortable without making your photographs feel overly posed.
Do you photograph small weddings and intimate ceremonies?
Absolutely. I photograph everything from full-day celebrations to smaller ceremonies and more bespoke plans across Orkney. If one of my main collections doesn’t quite fit your day, get in touch and we can discuss a package that does.
How much does wedding photography in Orkney cost?
My wedding collections currently start from £1,150, with options for longer coverage and additional products. If you’re planning something smaller, bespoke packages are also available from as little as two hours of coverage.
How do we book you as our wedding photographer?
The first step is to arrange a free consultation, either by phone or face-to-face, so we can talk through your plans and what you’re looking for from your wedding photography. When you’re ready to book, I’ll send over your contract, wedding questionnaire and payment details to secure your date.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
Book in a consultation to schedule a call or face to face meeting. We will discuss the details of your special day, get to know each other, and discuss your specific wedding photography requirements. When you are ready to book in, I will send across the contract, a wedding questionnaire, and payment details to secure your wedding photography services.
I arrive at the scheduled time to begin your effortless wedding photography experience. For most of the day, I will be running around the sidelines as I capture the memories while you celebrate. When it comes to the formal photos, I will offer gentle suggestions and direction to ensure everyone feels at ease. As the evening goes on, I will typically be around the reception - dancefloor shots are some of my favourites, and I love to get a few of the cog going around too if you go for an all-day package.
I will handpick and individually edit the photographs from our session, including a quality checking process to ensure that you love the entire gallery. This process typically takes 3-4 weeks for a standard size wedding.
Your photographs will be uploaded to a private gallery hosted on my website, and you will be provided with a link and password to access the downloadable files. You will be able to order prints and products from the gallery that are delivered straight to your home. For collections with physical products, you will receive instructions on how to order your included goods.
